Family Health Source Makes the Grade!

DELAND, Fla. — Northeast Florida Health Services, Inc. (NEFHS), dba Family Health Source, is proud to announce that they have successfully completed their 2018 Operational Site Visit (OSV) by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), their governing entity. This major accomplishment will allow Family Health Source to continue to provide the highest quality of primary medical care to those in the Volusia County community!

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Family Health Source must successfully pass their OSV every three (3) years to maintain their FQHC status. Of the 20 chapters and 93 elements of compliance on which they were measured, they scored in the highest percentile with over 90%!

For each OSV, contracted medical experts are obtained by HRSA, which is an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Health centers such as Family Health Source are then audited over a three-day period. This is a grueling and intense audit requiring months of preparation by the entire health care team.

Family Health Source CEO, Laurie Asbury, proudly states: “This was an enormous challenge, as we have five clinics serving over 12,000 patients throughout Volusia County. I couldn’t be prouder of our team, along with our board of directors, in obtaining this score. Everyone displayed tremendous effort and unity to accomplish this result. They made it happen!”
