Orlando, Fla., - McCree General Contractors & Architects invited numerous local artists to send in their qualifications to help create décor for the newly renovated office.

After careful consideration, the first set of artists to be selected were Stephen Bach, Noreen Coup, Patty Kane and Kate Carney. During the commissioning, the artists were under no limitations as they could choose any artistic style and medium they preferred to depict a McCree project of their choosing. Stephen Bach portrayed the Ronald McDonald House at Orlando Health using oil paints. Noreen Coup illustrated the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando using a palette knife creating an impressionism feel. Patty Kane interpreted the Physician Associates Lakeview building using watercolors. Lastly, Kate Carney chose to limn the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church using a collage of the church’s blueprints and other forms of mixed media. All of the artists are local to Orlando and many have created material for Disney, Universal and other notable designs around the City Beautiful.

Nestled in between the Downtown Arts District and Ivanhoe Village, McCree felt commissioning local artists would not only bring a different ambiance to the office, but also create a sense of community. “In the past, our office décor communicated our company’s rich history in the Orlando area, and while we want to preserve that, it was time for an update,” said McCree CEO Richard McCree Jr. “We believe there are exciting times ahead for our company and the community, and these talented local artists are helping us reinforce our vision for not only our company, but this beautiful area we call home.”
