Orlando resident shines as the Lead Role in National Broadway Tour of Matilda the Musical

Triple threat Savannah Elmer, of Orlando, may only be 11 years old, but she is already a Broadway star. The sixth grader is a rising actress, singer, and dancer and just recently wrapped up the first national Broadway tour of Matilda the Musical as the leading role.

Savannah toured with the production for eight months across the nation in an unforgettable experience traveling to cities such as Fort Myers, Tampa, West Palm Beach, Memphis, Durham, Nashville, Charlotte, Detroit, Chicago, Rochester, Hartford, Cleveland, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and Boston.

Along with Matilda the Musical, Savannah has also starred in featured productions such as The Nutcracker, Seussical the Musical, Shrek the Musical, Whistle A Happy Tune, and The Sound of Music.

The rising star hopes to carry her success on the big stage over to the big screen with a role in a Disney or Nickelodeon series. Savannah regularly auditions for roles and anticipates being able to announce a new big role shortly. In the meantime, she will be performing in August at a special benefit for the Parker Foundation to raise awareness for autism.
