Thanksgiving Day: A day of thanks and hope for America

Thanksgiving 2019 is a time to renew our hope in America and to shareour gratitude for the founding heroes of our nation. The signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia was the birth of our nation.

Our founding fathers wrote the following conclusion to the document:

“With a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our
sacred honor.” In a letter to Abigail, his wife, John Adams made the following observation about the Declaration of Independence:
“I am well aware of the toil, and blood, and treasure, that it will
cost to maintain this declaration, and support and defend
these state; yet, through all the gloom I can see the rays of light and
glory. I can see that the end is worth more than all the means.”

At this Thanksgiving season, let’s share our gratitude for this great Nation we live in and for the Founders of this nation and work to educate our friends and neighbors about our Nation's great history and future.
