Truck Drivers Come to Aid of Suicidal Man on Overpass

Orlanda Police had a Helping Hand in Talking Down Potential Jumper

On Tuesday, truck drivers in Orlando worked together with police to deter a man from jumping from an overpass onto the highway. It was just before 1pm that a man climbed over the fence at South Kirman Road. The truckers parked their vehicles close together under the overpass to ensure that the man would be far less likely to hit the roadway should he decide to jump

Orlando Crisis Team Officers negotiated with the man, attempting to get him to climb down. After about an hour, the man decided not to jump and was brought back over the fence.

In a series of Tweets, the Orlando Police thanked the truck drivers for their help.
