We would like to inform our residents that based on the latest figures provided by the CDC for Miami-Dade County on COVID-19 positivity rate, the 18th Annual State of the Village Address will be a fully virtual event. According to the CDC, the target rate for Miami-Dade County should be below 10%. Yesterday, the county reported a positivity rate of 10.04%, dropping only slightly to 9.81% today. As part of our overall planning, the Village always considered pivoting to a virtual event if the positivity rate reached the 10% mark in Miami-Dade County.

In an abundance of caution, we will be live streaming the Address on our Facebook page and YouTube channel instead of holding the event in-person. Sponsor donations defrayed 95% of the event costs and the food items will be donated by the Village.

If you were bringing an unwrapped toy for the PBA’s Toys for Tots toy drive, please bring your toy to Village Hall instead. A box will be placed just outside the main entry for your convenience. Toys will be collected through Friday, December 18, 2020.
