Palmetto Bay Postpones Jonathan's Day

Village officials plan to reschedule the 2K race and walk for January when there's better weather.

PALMETTO BAY, FL — Village officials have postponed Saturday's planned 2K race and walk. The Dec. 9 Jonathan's Day event will now take place in Coral Reef Park sometime in January.

"Our Jonathan's Day; Fun in Palmetto Bay event has been postponed to January," officials announced on Friday. "Weather reports show that a cold front will soon be moving in and that it will bring rain to the Palmetto Bay area during the morning hours on Saturday. Conditions are expected to improve in the early afternoon, but unfortunately, not in time to proceed with the event."

Village officials said that the Holiday Lights and Dine event at 6 p.m. Saturday will proceed as scheduled.
