Sheard is still being held in the Pinellas County Jail. The bond amount now totals $42.150. That number could grow if additional charges are filed.Β The initial charge of Attempted 2nd Degree Arson was filed Monday afternoon.

Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives say Sheard confessed to going on a vandalism spree in his neighborhood early Monday morning. According to the sheriff's office, Sheard told detectives he had been drinking and also took the prescription drugΒ XanaxΒ about 3:30 a.m. He told deputies he then became upset over personal problems andΒ  went on the vandalism spree.

Detectives say a paint trail led them to Sheard. They also say video from a neighbor's surveillance camera links him to the crimes.

The sheriff's office says a preliminary tally found at least 30 vehicles vandalized. At least two cars had paint splattered on them; one of those cars was been set on fire. Other cars were keyed, and dozens more had their tires slashed.

It has taken a few days for the additional charges to be filed because of the high number of incidents and the paperwork involved. A spokesperson for the sheriff's office says deputies have to contact all of the victims to find out whether they want to press charges. More charges could be filed.
