$3,500 Reward Offered: Mobile Home Fire Investigation

The Fire Marshal says the blaze, which destroyed the double-wide mobile home on July 24, is thought to be suspicious.

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office are hoping that a $3,500 reward will lead them to the person responsible for a fire .

The fire marshal says the blaze, which destroyed the home, is thought to be suspicious. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, according to Palm Harbor Fire Rescue Spokesperson, Liz Monforti. 

No one was inside the double-wide mobile home when it caught fire around 3:30 a.m. The home is located in space 62 on Apache Trail in the Frontier Village Mobile Home Park at 30700 U.S. 19. Heat from the fire was so intense, it melted a neighbor's mailbox and the bumper on another neighbor's car.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Arson Unit is now in charge of the investigation. If you have information that can help investigators, contact Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County. If your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Tips can be submitted anonymously.

The owner of Frontier Village Mobile Home Park is also offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful persecution of the person(s) responsible for the fire, according to Crime Stoppers.
