Three Seniors Win National Merit Scholarships
Palm Harbor University High Teens Selected From 15,000 Finalists

Three seniors now have $2,500 more for their college education.
Ambika Anand, Sitharthan Sekar, and Yun Bo Tian have all won National Merit Scholarships. The teens are among a second group of high school seniors awarded scholarships by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. They will be able to use the scholarship at any accredited U.S. college or university.
All three teens are in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at Palm Harbor University High. A Spokesperson for the Pinellas County School District says that Yun Bo Tian has already accepted an offer from Duke University. He plans to pursue a career in medicine.

The other two teens will join the "Gator Nation" at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Anand plans to purse a career in medicine at UF and Sekar is interested in the field of biomedical engineering.
