5 Palm Harbor Softball Players Sign Letters of Intent
All five players are seniors at Palm Harbor University High.

Most of them got their start playing softball as kids at Palm Harbor Little League and . Now, five seniors who play softball for are moving forward with their careers in a big way.Β
Thursday morning, Megan Copeland, Dani-Lynn Darby, Samantha McCloskey, Taylor Sabol and Chrissy Tabulov participated in a group national letter of intent signing.
- Megan Copeland is the Hurricanes starting left fielder and leadoff slapper. She is signing with Barry University in Miami Shores. Copeland is a member of PHUH's Medical Magnet program and plans to study Finance at the Andreas School of Business.Β
- Dani-Lynn Darby is the Hurricanes middle infielder. In January, she will sign with the State College of Florida in Bradenton.
- Samantha McCloskey plays third base for the Krusherz and Hurricanes. She is signing with the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
- Taylor Sabol has been the Hurricanes starting pitcher for the last three years. She is signing with the Barry University Buccaneers in Miami Shores. Sabol plans to major in Bio-Chemistry.
- Chrissy Tabulov plays second base for the Lady Canes. She is signing with Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. Tabulov is in the PHUH Medical Magnet program and plans to study Pharmacy.
The players were joined for the signing at PHUH by , PHUH Athletic Director Larry Lopez, and Lady Canes Softball Coach Chuck Poetter.

Many of the girls grew up playing sports here in Palm Harbor. says it's a great achievement for the players and the community, "Its an exciting time for our communityβ¦ it all started at our own ball fields here in Palm Harbor."Β
