What You Need Know About Saturday's Hurricane Expo
Hurricane season is here. Manorcare Health Services is hosting a free hurricane seminar to help you prepare for hurricane season.

Is your family ready for the 2012 hurricane season? If your answer is not a definite "yes", you might want to check out the in Palm Harbor this weekend. will be hosting the free community event this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Â
Why should you be concerned about preparing for hurricane season? According to the NOAA, 83 percent of category 4 and 5 hurricane strikes have hit either Florida or Texas, and 40 percent of all U.S. hurricanes have hit Florida.Â

3) Vendors: Confirmed vendors for the Hurricane Expo include Home Depot; Palm Harbor Fire Rescue; Pinellas County Sheriff's Office; Publix grocery/pharmacy; Sam's Club; Freedom Inn; Arden Courts; Humane Society of Pinellas County; Wheelchair Transport; Family Home Health and Verizon Wireless.
4) Information packets:Â 2012 Pinellas County Hurricane Preparedness Guides will be available. The guides are very helpful for hurricane planning. Â
5) Freebies: Free food, giveaways, raffles and kids' activities will be featured.
