Bilirakis Hosts Military & Veteran's Fair Saturday
Rep. Gus Bilirakis celebrates Armed Forces Day with his popular Military & Veteran's Resource Fair which will feature informational booths plus a parachute jump by the SOCOM Para-Commandos and a Coast Guard helicopter flyover.
More than 71,000 veterans call the 9th Congressional District home, and there are no greater heroes than those who serve or have served our nation.
On Saturday, May 19, 2012, Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-Palm Harbor), Vice Chairman of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, will host his annual Military & Veterans Resource Fair and appreciation event. The fair, which has become a popular event for area veterans, provides services and resources for servicemembers and veterans.
“I have made it a priority to be an advocate for veterans and their families in the United States Congress and we must ensure veterans receive the benefits they have earned through their service to our nation,” Bilirakis said.

The fair will be held at East Lake High School, 1300 Silver Eagle Drive, in Tarpon Springs. The resource fair runs from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and the program will last from 1-2 p.m. The program will include a patriotic concert by the East Lake High School Band & Chorus.
“My office provides many important services for all veterans and their families in the Tampa Bay area,” Bilirakis said. “Whether it is providing assistance with VA claims or working with federal agencies to solve complex issues, my office is here to help.”
