Do you like beer and blues music? This Saturday, you might want to stop by the 2nd Annual Blues & Brews in Historic Downtown Palm Harbor.

Now that our great mild weather is here, outdoor festival season has swung into full gear in Florida.

This Saturday in Palm Harbor, you can enjoy the 2nd Annual Blues & Brews in the old historic downtown district.

Old Palm Harbor Main Street (OPHMS) is sponsoring the event from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, February 25

The event features local and international recording blues artists. Six different craft brewers will be pouring their beers: Victory Brewery, Majic Hat, Florida Avenue, Tampa Bay Brewery, Kona, and Blue Point.

Headlining the event is award winning, international blues musician, E.G. Kight (aka “The Georgia Songbird”). Kight’s has a new CD out called, "Lip Service". She has six Blues Music Awards nominations under her belt and has shared the stage with a wide array of artists, including Pinetop Perkins, Lee Roy Parnell, Phoebe Snow, Gregg Allman, Robert Cray, Merle Haggard, Taj Mahal, Little Feat, and the world renowned Garrison Keillor.

Other performers include-

  • The Memphis sound of Billy Seward and his six piece band with fat horns and B-3 organ.
  • Opening the show this year is Steve Arvey and Kellie Rucker.

There will also be a variety of unique retail and craft vendors and a food court.

The Main Event on Saturday, February 25th is open to the public. A VIP concert and reception on Friday, February 24th is a ticketed event and seating is limited. Tickets are on sale now and are $25 in advance and $30 day of (if available). For more information, contact Robin Husbands at 727.787.4700.

Old Palm Harbor Main Street is a Non-Profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserve and enhance the quality of life and business in Downtown Palm Harbor.
