Celebrate Italian-American Heritage Month at the Palm Harbor Library

As a part of its Italian-American Heritage Month celebration, the Palm Harbor Library, located at 2330 Nebraska Avenue, will feature a showing of My Private Italy on Friday, October 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This video features memorable places that reveal Italy’s rich history, diverse culture, and the warmth of its people. Come celebrate the Italy that can be experienced only by venturing off the beaten path. You’ll discover lovely hilltop villages, unseen by the average tourist, and experience the rapturously beautiful island of Sardinia, off the western coast of Italy. Experience the sights, sounds, music, poetry and people that combine to give Sardinia its unique flavors that offer visitors a lifetime of memories.

Mildred Cooper, President of Central Gulf Coast Lodge in Florida, Order of the Sons of Italy, facilitates the discussion for this and each of the other Italian/American Heritage programs planned for the month. Light refreshments will be provided.
