Cold Shelters Open Tonight
A wind chill advisory is in effect until Tuesday morning. Pinellas County will be opening cold shelters for the homeless on Monday and Tuesday evening.

Pinellas County cold shelters will open at 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday to provide homeless citizens with a warm place to sleep during our cold snap, which is expected to worsen during the overnight hours.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory through Tuesday morning.Β Temperatures could fall to the mid-30s in some parts of Tampa Bay.
The cold shelters will accept guests all night long andΒ close each morning at 6 a.m. Β Shelter guests will be provided with a hot evening meal, a warm safe place to spend the night, andΒ breakfast the following morning. Β
