Cold Shelters Open Tonight

Pinellas County cold shelters will open at 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday to provide homeless citizens with a warm place to sleep during our cold snap, which is expected to worsen during the overnight hours.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory through Tuesday morning. Temperatures could fall to the mid-30s in some parts of Tampa Bay.

The cold shelters will accept guests all night long and close each morning at 6 a.m.  Shelter guests will be provided with a hot evening meal, a warm safe place to spend the night, and breakfast the following morning.
