Cookie Anyone?

Our pals at the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida tell us that cookies have arrived and pre-orders will be distributed this week in Palm Harbor.

If you pre-ordered cookies from your local Girl Scout they should be distributed some time this week.

The cookies arrived at at a warehouse last week. The cookies will be sold by Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, which includes our Girl Scouts here in Palm Harbor and scouts in Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Marion, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter counties.

A new Girl Scout Cookie called Savannah Smiles is debuting this year in honor of the organization's 100th anniversary.

If you didn't pre-order any cookies, Girl Scout Cookie booths will open Friday, Feb. 24. You can search for a Girl Scout cookie booth in your neighborhood by entering a zip code on the "Cookie Booth Locator" on the Girl Scouts website.

Money from cookie sales goes directly to Girl Scout troops and supports programming for nearly 22,000 girls in our area.
