Criminal Hits Vehicles in Indian Trails Subdivision
A look at recent police activity in Palm Harbor finds nine reported vehicle burglaries in the Indian Trails subdivision on Nov. 29.
A recent rash of crimes in the Indian Trails Subdivision illustrates the need for Palm Harbor residents to protect their property.
A check of police activity in Palm Harbor found that on Nov. 29, Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies responded to nine vehicle burglaries in the Indian Trails subdivision.
Vehicle burglaries are often crimes of opportunity according to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson, Cecilia Barreda.

"Lock you car doors," Barreda says. "Thieves will go for the easy target, vehicles that are unlocked. Lock your car, even if you're gone a short amount of time."
The reported burglaries come as Pinellas County Sheriff's Detectives also investigate a series of vandalisms. Someone has been using a paintball type gun to shoot marbles at the windows of vehicles and businesses, damaging them. In most cases, marbles were found nearby.

Signs along Alt. 19 in Palm Harbor warn people to protect themselves from becoming crime victims by locking their vehicle's doors and report any suspicious activity.
