Deputies Join Elementary Students for Walk to School Day
Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies will be walking with students at Palm Harbor elementary schools for the annual "Walk to School Day" Wednesday.

Don't be alarmed if you see more deputies than usual outside your child's school Wednesday morning. Deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be accompanying kids at Highland Lakes, Curlew Creek, OzonaΒ and Lake St. George elementary schools for the annual "Walk to School Day".
The international event helps teach kids how to walk and bike safely to school andΒ helps them become aware of directions, street signs and traffic patterns, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies will be walking with students at 18 Pinellas County elementary schools including the Palm Harbor schools mentioned above.
