Do You Have What it Takes to Be a Celebrity?

Are you the type of person who craves being in the spotlight? Are you a good cook? Taste of Home Magazine will be holding open auditions in Orlando Thursday, July 26 for "Mrs. Holiday," who will serve as spokesperson for the magazine.

Wanted: women with a talent for cooking, an enthusiastic love of the holidays, and the capacity to dream! 

Taste of Home magazine is bringing its national search for Mrs. Holiday, a new holiday spokesperson, to the Lake Buena Vista Courtyard Marriott, Village Hall, 8623 Vineland Ave., Orlando on Thursday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 7p.m.

The search for Mrs. Holiday seeks to identify an American woman, age 18 or older, who truly embodies the spirit of the holidays, whether it be Valentine’s Day, Independence Day or Thanksgiving.  Her family and friends already consider her the Queen of the Holidays, and her signature recipes are a must-have at every holiday gathering.

Mrs. Holiday will be an advocate, an ambassador, and an inspiration to the country.  She’s got memorable recipes combined with a celebration attitude, and is ready to serve up a helping to assist every American family in making the most of the holidays. 

The woman crowned Mrs. Holiday by Taste of Home will receive $50,000 and the chance to live out her celebrity spokesperson dreams by sharing her talent, recipes, and enthusiasm with millions of Taste of Home readers as she travels the country, making live appearances, participating in interviews and cooking segments, and regularly contributing content to Taste of Home magazine.

No experience is necessary to audition.  Entrants should come prepared with their signature recipe in writing and any decorations, food, photos, costumes, or other props they would like to include when taping their 2-minute video audition to be posted on Facebook. Other cities on the tour include Charlotte, Chicago, Nashville and Dallas.

“Based on the fantastic and diverse recipes we’ve received from the region over the years, everything from Christmas biscuits to mouth-watering Fourth of July pies, we know this area is home to a lot of talented and enthusiastic people who enjoy cooking, entertaining, and bringing loved ones together – everything that Mrs. Holiday represents.”
