East Lake Fire Rescue to Host Open House April 13
There will be a few bounce houses for the kids, an automobile extrication demonstration by the East Lake Firefighters, a smoke education trailer for the children, and antique truck rides on their fully restored 1961 American LaFrance fire truck.
East Lake Fire Rescue will be hosting an open house from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. April 13, at Station 57, 3375 Tarpon Lake Blvd., Palm Harbor.
This year'sΒ Open House is focused on "Community Safety", an East Lake Fire Rescue news release said. Β
The department's fire apparatusΒ will be on display along with CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Team),Β Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Bayflite, Florida Division of Forestry,Β Pinellas County Emergency Management (hurricane preparedness), Oldsmar's REOΒ Speed Wagon fire truck, Rotary, 911 Communications, YMCA, the East Lake BoardΒ of Commissioners and others focused on safety in our community. βLIVE ARTβ will be performed by local artist Stephen Palladino. He will be painting a mural on a 120-square-foot section of the bay wall.Β
