Floodwater Finally Recedes; Wedgewood Cleans Mess Left By Tropical Storm Debby

Life's finally getting back to normal for the residents of Wedgewood condos in Palm Harbor, where a major road in the complex had been underwater.

Life is finally getting back to normal for residents of Wedgewood condos in Palm Harbor. Floodwater from Tropical Storm Debby finally receded July 4. On Thursday, July 5, crews worked to clean up debris left from the flooding which had left a major road in the complex underwater since Sunday, June 24 when Tropical Storm Debby moved through.

A water pump in the condo complex was not working at the time that Debby moved through, which caused some of the flooding. Floodwater from an adjacent lot also drained into the complex. A water pump at a pond in front of St. George Pharmacy was not working, which also contributed to the flooding.

So far, no damage has been found. "We were pretty fortunate," said Rose Tinus, Wedgewood Condos Homeowners Association manager.
