Food Network Star Brings "Dinner: Impossible Live" to Clearwater

Friday, April 13 Chef Robert Irvine will be in Clearwater for the debut of Dinner: Impossible Live.

Tampa Bay foodies get ready for a first. Chef Robert Irvine, the muscular celebrity chef who stars in the Food Network show Restaurant: Impossible will be in Clearwater Friday for the debut of Dinner: Impossible Live.

"It's the first real live show that I've done," said the energetic chef, who was recently in Palm Harbor for the Transitions Championship PGA Tour at Innisbrook.

Irvine says Dinner: Impossible Live is a fun, audience-interactive show that is very similar to the Food Network show, which features cooking challenges. In each segment of the live show, Irvine will face a new and unique culinary challenge. The live show will also feature multiple opportunities for audience participation and you can expect to see multiple cameras on stage to give a close-up view of the chef at work. Producers have created special music and video for the show as well.

"The elements that we have planned are so unique, this is not just a cooking show. This is going to blow your mind," said Irvine, who began his cooking career while in the Royal Navy, which he joined at age 15.

The celebrity chef says he'd been tossing around the idea of a live interactive show for a long time, but he didn't know how to get it started. Irvine's talent agency helped his idea become a reality.

"We've got a great team that have been working hard almost the last year to get it ready," he said. "I didn't realize it was so intense to get to this point."

Irvine says after the Clearwater show, the crew will move on to Melbourne, Florida for a show there on April 15. Plans are to take the show around the country. Irvine will make an announcement April 16 on his Facebook page about future tour dates.
