Golf, Bowl, Dance, & Eat at Library Saturday

Time to break some rules! For two hours this Saturday, the Palm Harbor Library will allow patrons to do things that are normally banned at the library. Proceeds from the "fun-raiser" benefit the library.

Psstt…. wanna break some rules and not get in trouble?

On any normal day, dancing, golfing, bowling, and eating ice cream and pizza would get you in a heap of trouble at the Palm Harbor Library. But, not this Saturday.

From 6 to 8 p.m. the will be hosting its first-ever family "fun-raiser called, "You Can't Do That at the Library". The event will celebrate National Literacy Week and raise money for library programs and materials.

"The whole idea is to have fun and do all the things you normally can't do when the library is open," said Palm Harbor Library Assistant Director Lois Eannel.

The library staff has been working hard behind the scenes in preparation for the "fun-raiser". They created artistic, themed backgrounds for each hole of the mini-golf course. The course will give you a glimpse of the library most patrons have never seen. It runs throughout the library, including the circulation room, which is usually closed to the public.
