Intimate Desires Boutique Offers Upscale Sexy Looks

Looking for a sexy Halloween costume? Maybe you need something alluring for a romantic evening… or you need to buy a gift for a bachelorette shower?

You can get it all at Intimate Desires, a new boutique in downtown Palm Harbor that features high-end sexy frocks and other goodies in a comfortable, upscale atmosphere.

Owner, Penny Vickery opened the boutique in July after realizing there was a need for a nice store where people could comfortably shop for sexy items and not have to deal with flashing neon lights and porn.

"I couldn't find anything upscale that didn't have porn," she said, "I wanted a place where women could come in and shop and not have to walk into the store with their tail between their legs and be embarrassed to go in."

Vickery hand-picks all the items in the store and says she can sell them at great prices because she does not have to pay the overhead that stores in shopping malls pay.

Some of the brands featured at Intimate Desires include Escante a maker of elegant lingerie, Honeydew Intimates which are also sold at upscale department stores Neimen Marcus and Nordstrom, Shunga Erotic Art Intimate Moments Products, and Pjur lotions and body products.

Clothing sizes at the boutique range from xs to 3x. Intimate Desires also has a large selection of sexy costumes priced at $50 for Halloween and other holidays and events like St. Patrick's Day and Gasparilla.

You can also find matching his-and-her silk lounging sets, men's silk boxers, women's sandals, handbags, and jewelry at Intimate Desires. 

If you want to try clothing on, a roomy and elegant 8 x 8 foot dressing room is located in one corner of the store. Another room in the boutique -which is for 18 year-olds and up- features sexy toys.

Vickery offers a few extras you might not get at other stores; she says she can custom order items from her supplier with a quick turnaround, and she can close the store for bachelorette parties.
