Is That Dog Driving?
This happy pooch made us do a double-take! What do you think? Is he in the driver's seat, or just along for the ride?
No doubt, we've all seen dogs that love to ride in cars with their heads hanging out the window in the breeze. But, how about a dog that actually drives?
That appeared to be the case earlier this week, when a turquoise Jeep-type vehicle zipped into the parking lot of the Seabreeze Plaza at the corner of US 19 and Curlew Rd. It was driving pretty fast, and was pulling a trailer loaded with a golf cart that teetered sideways as the driver took a sharp left, shortly after pulling into the parking lot.
This author glimpsed what appeared to be a smiling dog behind the wheel of the Jeep-thing as it whizzed by.

As any investigative reporter would do, this author quickly set down her iced latte and scurried over to the turquoise vehicle, which was now parked in the shade in front of the PetCo.
The smiling dog looked to be as tall as a human as he sat in the vehicle waiting. The pooch stared intently at the PetCo. A plastic dinosaur mounted on the hood of the vehicle also appeared to be looking toward the PetCo, making for an especially odd scene.

So, did the dog drive himself to PetCo, or not? Don't know, he wouldn't say. But, maybe the photos will give you a clue!
