Job of the Day: Facilities Maintenance Manager

Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Manager.

Salary $32,000

This position requires a two year degree from an accredited college with a major in a related field and two years of progressive experience in recreational maintenance, or high school diploma/GED with seven years experience, three of which must be in recreational maintenance at a progressive level.

CLA/CLP certification from the Florida Recreation and Parks Association is recommended.

Current valid Florida drivers license.

Good working knowledge in: turf management, sports field preparation, irrigation, electrical, welding, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, small engine repair, blueprints, and creative planning.

Position requires employee to work outdoors in extreme temperature ranges (below 32 degrees to above 90 degrees).

Position requires consistent physical exertion, frequent bending and heavy lifting of over 50 pounds. Position requires employee to have good communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Position requires some computer knowledge.

Position requires extended and flexible working hours. Position requires that employee must be on 24 hour call, for emergency purposes.
