'Joey' Was Rescued from a Puppy Mill
Palm Harbor Patch is proud to help the Suncoast Animal League find a forever home for this great pet.

Joey weighs about 15 pounds and is a Parson Russell Terrier. He was rescued from a puppy mill in Sarasota and grew up in terrible conditions in a tight cage with no exercise and very little human contact.
Joey's name fits him because he gets excited when he sees you and starts hopping like a kangaroo. He is a fun, bouncy boy! He has made great progress over the last few months and he just needs the right, patient owner to give him love and encouragement.
He is crate trained and working on house training, as it's all new to him. He walks well on a leash but really doesn't require a lot of exercise. Joey would much rather sit on your lap & be cuddled. He is a lap dog at heart.

Joey would do better in a home with no dogs or multiple maybe two or three dogs where he can be part of a pack, as opposed to a home with just one other dog where he might feel the need to be “alpha.” He has a bit of a jealous streak and wants all of your attention. Joey just wants to be someone's best friend. This dog is a trooper and deserves a chance at a real life!
