Theaters Preparing for Midnight Showings of Last Harry Potter Movie

Palm Harbor theater to host midnight showing of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2".

Attention Harry Potter fans: a nap sometime today might be a good idea, because you could be up all night.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2", the last movie in the popular Harry Potter series opens Friday. No doubt, there will be plenty of fans who will want to be among the first to see the movie during special midnight screenings.

in Palm Harbor will be featuring a 12:01 a.m. screening on Friday. Staff at the theater expects people to start lining up around 9:30 tonight. Many Potter fans could be sporting a costume. The new Potter movie will be shown on two screens at Muvico. Each of the two theaters holds 290 people. As of 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, tickets were available for purchase online.

AMC Woodlands Square 20 in Oldsmar will also have midnight screenings. According to a link on the AMC website, Woodlands Square 20 will be featuring the movie in regular, digital, Real 3-D, and I-MAX 3D.

However, a bit of clicking around on this website found that the only tickets available for purchase online are the 3:00 a.m. showings.

We did call the phone number for AMC Woodlands Square 20 and as of 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, tickets for the 12:01 am shows were available for purchase over the phone.
