Local Company Hoping to Send RNC Delegates Home with Souvenirs

A Palm Harbor Company is hoping that delegates and others who come to town for the Republican National Convention (RNC) will take home a memento of their stay in Tampa Bay that will entice them to come back again.

Jane and Bob Pictor own , a company that provides customizable products and souvenirs. They're also members of the official RNC Host Committee.

"Our thought is to provide one of two things, items that can be consumed at the convention or taken home as memorabilia," said Bob Pictor.

Pictor Marketing Solutions is selling custom RNC-themed products to local hotels and restaurants. Products like paper fans, lip balm, pennants, foam beverage coolers, hand sanitizer, buttons and coasters are available for businesses to customize with their name, address and phone number.

"Political souvenirs stay around for years. This way hotels can put something in the hands of their guests that says their location, their phone number,  their web address; so, that two years from now, when they want to come back to Florida they'll have something from the RNC," said Jane Pictor.

Prices for some items are as low as 19 cents a piece, depending on the quantity ordered, according to one of the company's price sheets. Jane Pictor says there is only about a week left for businesses to order. The deadline is the end of July.
