Detectives Looking for Armed Robber in Publix Holdup

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who threatened store clerks with a gun during Sunday's robbery.

Pinellas County Sheriff's investigators have released a description of the man who robbed a Palm Harbor Publix store Sunday morning.Β 

The robbery occurred about 9:35 a.m. June 19 at the Publix at 33343 U.S. 19, which is located between Nebraska Avenue and Tampa Road.

A sheriff's spokesperson says the man demanded money and used a gun to threaten two clerks at the customer service counter.

Investigators say the clerks gave the man money, and he left. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Detectives released the following description of the man:

  • He is in his mid-20sΒ 
  • He is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with olive colored skin.
  • He was wearing a white and blue horizontal striped polo shirt with a dark blue collar, blue jeans and a dark blue baseball cap.

Detectives are in the process of gathering surveillance video of the suspect for Palm Harbor Patch. We will post that video as soon as it is given to us.
