Marble Vandal Hits Palm Harbor
An incident in Palm Harbor is among 19 cases the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is asking for help catching suspects in 19 vandalism cases -including one in Palm Harbor- in which marbles were shot at the windows of businesses or vehicles.
A spokesperson for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says the case in Palm Harbor involves a 2003 Kia Sedona parked at 1549 Alt. 19. A marble-sized hole was discovered in the shattered back window of the mini-van. Detectives say it happened sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 a.m. on Sept. 19.Β
The rest of the crimes occurred in other parts of the county, including Clearwater and Dunedin. Detectives say the suspects committed the crimes during the overnight hours beginning August 5th. The most recent incident occurred overnight on Nov. 19-20.

In most cases, a glass marble or marbles were found in the area. Detectives say the suspects may be using a slingshot or paintball type gun to shoot the marbles.
