McMullen Booth Rd. Reopens Thursday
Crews closed a section of the southbound lanes between Tampa and Curlew roads, so they could repair a water main.
If all goes as planned, Palm Harbor drivers will only have to endure one more day of taking a detour off McMullen Booth Rd. The road will re-open at 4 a.m. Thursday, in time for the morning commute.
Late Tuesday afternoon, Pinellas County Utilities crews closed a section of the southbound lanes between Tampa and Curlew roads, so a water main could be repaired.
Drivers heading southbound on McMullen Booth Rd. were diverted west onto Tampa Rd, then south on U.S. 19, then east on Curlew Rd, where they could get back onto McMullen Booth Rd.

The detours created a slow commute for east and westbound drivers on Tampa Rd. on Tuesday afternoon.
Construction crews had to repair a water main that supplies drinking water. The main was 20 feet below the ground.
