Meet the Volunteer: Alex Campbell

Think your kid is too young to volunteer? Probably not! We found a nine year-old volunteer here in Palm Harbor!

If your kid ever complains of being bored, volunteering might prove to be a fun and rewarding activity.

Alex Campbell, is one example of a kid who has a blast donating his time at a local non-profit, the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary.

Volunteering is a family affair for Alex. The nine year-old's mother, father and sister also donate their time at the sanctuary.

"It's fun," says Alex, who has been volunteering for one year and attends Tarpon Springs Fundamental Elementary.

Alex is a big fan of reptiles and is completely at ease while holding a one year-old American Alligator named Fiddlesticks, who is a resident of the sanctuary. He also cares for a Bearded Dragon named Orangey at his home.
