Midnight is Sweet, Junior is Shy and Sweet

Palm Harbor Patch is proud to help the Suncoast Animal League find a forever home for these great pets.

Junior is a very shy, sweet boy. He is a Parson Russell Terrier, who was rescued from a puppy mill in Sarasota in May.

He grew up in horrible conditions in a cage with very little human contact. As a result, he is still timid, but has made great progress since coming to the shelter. When Junior first came to Suncoast, he would tremble and it took close to 30 minutes to coax him out of his crate. Now, he allows you to pick him up out of his crate very easily and he is learning to trust and like people.

Junior weighs about 15 lbs. and would do best in a home with no other dogs, or with dogs who are shy and sweet like him. While in the yard with the other dogs, Junior seems to exhibit fear, so he tends to get bullied. He walks well on a leash, but is timid with passing cars and likes to stay close to you. He just needs a home with an owner who will be patient with him and give him lots of positive reinforcement to gain his confidence. Junior would be just fine in an apartment as it seems he would prefer a quiet environment with cozy surroundings.
