Mother, Son Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Shotgun

Deputies said the gun was stolen from the son's roommate in Palm Harbor.

A Palm Harbor mother and son have been arrested by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and charged with stealing a shotgun along with being a felon in possession of a firearm.Β 

According to the arrest affidavit, Phillip Kesner stole the 12-guage pump shotgun from his roommate and took it to his mother’s home, which is next door.

Deputies said Kathy Kesner then intentionally hid the stolen shotgun underneath her bed at her home in the 3100 block of Philox Drive on Feb. 21.Β

Both Kathy and Phillip Kesner have been charged with stealing the shotgun and felon in possession of a firearm. Mother and son both have previous felony cocaine charges.Β
