New Look, New Name for Community Activity Center

The Palm Harbor Community Center is almost finished with its very own extreme makeover. 

You may have noticed some changes taking place over the last few months. Renovations inside have resulted in a large, inviting lobby, and new office and lounge areas. Sophia's Closet has also been moved to a new location inside the building. Outside renovations will include new landscaping.

On May 15, the recreation complex will also get a new name, it will become the "Centre of Palm Harbor". 

“Just as its name implies, our goal is for the Centre to become the center of activity in Palm Harbor,” said Erica Lynford, director of Palm Harbor Parks and Recreation. 

“Changing the name to a shorter, more easily remembered one is part of the overall Palm Harbor CSA rebranding strategy to inform the public about the wide array of quality facilities and services available to them.”

The Centre features banquet and meeting room space for rent, including a fully-equipped commercial kitchen. Revenues generated by rentals help fund programming at the Centre and the various parks and fields managed by Parks and Recreation.

The Palm Harbor Community Services Agency (Palm Harbor CSA) is the volunteer entity that oversees leisure services in Palm Harbor. The agency is still accepting donations for the extreme makeover. If you have any funds or materials that could help contact the Centre at (727) 771-6000.
