New Special Events Coordinator at PHREC

As the busy party and special event season is about to swing into gear, Palm Harbor Parks and Recreation has a new team member who will oversee special events at the facility. 

Trish Harrison, who has extensive experience in event management will oversee planning and directing special events at the . The center is a publicly and self-funded facility that  in addition to a wide variety of community programs that the center offers for residents of all ages.

"Trish's strong background in corporate events will help make the community aware that PHREC has a wide variety of facilities to accommodate most any kind of event, ranging from a large indoor banquet facility with a fully-equipped commercial kitchen to outdoor fields for picnics and team-building activities," said , Director of Palm Harbor Parks and Recreation (PHREC).

Before joining PHREC, Harrison worked in corporate event management with the Ryah Creative Group, Palm Harbor, where she designed and managed themed parties and meetings for corporate clients.

She also served as director of the Children's Ministry at Palm Harbor United Methodist Church, managing and directing all children's activities and programs. She created and directed the church's weekly Family Production Worship Service and the annual Children’s Festival for over 400 children and their families.

Harrison is a training facilitator and public speaker, and is a Certified Video Presenter for Laugh Your Way America. In the community, she has served on the Palm Harbor Panthers board of directors and as a cheer coach.

Harrison is a graduate of the Business Management program at the University of South Florida, Tampa.
