Ozona 4th of July Parade, Fireworks Saturday
Whoo hoo! It's a 4th of July community celebration!
Are you going stir crazy after being cooped up in your house because of that darned Tropical Storm Debby?
Here's something fun to do. This weekend, our teeny tiny, charming community of Ozona will be getting its 4th of July party on! Of course, you're invited to the shindig, and of course it's free.
"This is something to look forward to," says organizer Barb Haley. "We're going to have good weather, that's a plus."

The 5th Annual Independence Day Parade begins at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30.
- Everyone is invited to participate… or watch!
- Proudly show your patriotism by wearing red white and blue.
- Decorate your bikes and golf carts in red white and blue (how fun is that?)
- Assemble in front of the post office, north bound on the east side of the road.
- Follow Palm Harbor Fire Rescue Training Chief Tim Pilson and the #66 Fire Engine.
- You may or may not go on the following route: (we can't guarantee where Chief Tim will take you, but this is a pretty good guess!) North on Orange to Orchid Ln, turn around, then go south on Orange St. (really!) turn right on Shore Dr., follow Shore Dr. to Bay Shore, turn right on Bay St. to Orange St. and end up where you began.
The fun continues Saturday evening. The 15-minute fireworks show begins at 9:00 p.m. over Lundren Cove!
