Palm Harbor Gas Prices Below Average

A quick check online finds that it pays to shop around for gas. A majority of gas stations in Palm Harbor are selling gas for lower than $3.20 a gallon, with one station selling gas for $3.26 a gallon, according to TampaGasPrices.com. 

Our gas prices could stabilize this week, event though oil prices have gone up, according to AAA.

"Although oil prices reached $100 a barrel, retail gasoline prices continue to fall," said Jessica Brady, AAA spokesperson, The Auto Club Group. 

"While it's no surprise oil prices rose on the positive economic news, it does not mean we will see a huge surge in gasoline consumption as a result. U.S. stockpiles of oil increased almost 4 million barrels during the last week of November; a sign demand is still relatively weak. Gas prices may stabilize this week as we see whether or not oil prices continue to rise beyond $100 a barrel or if prices retreat.

According to AAA's Fuel Gauge Report the current average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Tampa Bay is $3.20. Prices have dropped from last month when a gallon of unleaded was selling for an average of $3.31.
