Palm Harbor Gator Encounter
Palm Harbor Patch reader Jim Olson happened to have his camera with him when some alligators decided to make an appearance at John Chesnut Park.
A big thanks to Palm Harbor Patch reader Jim Olson who sent us these cool shots of alligators at John Chesnut Park in the East Lake community of Palm Harbor.
Jim writes-
"I was out there shooting some scenery pictures when some people crossing the bridges over the creeks and ponds mentioned there were a few small gators lurking around.

The first one I saw was under the water (see pic) but you could tell he was about 4 feet in length as his whole body was visible under the surface. The second gator I was alerted to (the majority of the pictures) was just lounging in the grass (about 5-1/2 feet long) just off the shore of the pond.
I have a high zoom camera as to not get TOO close and still get decent shots while being safe and not disturb the gators."
