Palm Harbor Gets Its Party On at The Centre's Grand Re-Opening

Train rides, cheer squads, a magic show and bouncy houses were just a few of the many fun activities at The Centre's Grand Re-Opening party Saturday, Aug. 11.

, which was formerly known as the Palm Harbor Community Activity Center, recently finished a makeover project which included new landscaping, indoor rennovations and a name change.

The community played a huge role in The Centre's makeover by kicking in $30,000 in cash and in-kind donations, according to The Centre's Events Manager, Trish Harrison. 

Local businesses and organizations that helped with the refurbishing include-

• Spectra Cleaning Solutions

• Signs by Tomorrow 
• Drew Valk Re/Max Realtec Group
• Palm Harbor Lion's Club
• Palm Harbor Nursery

The Centre also spent $3,000 from its own budget for refurbishing. Planning for the makeover began last February.

The facility is a very popular Palm Harbor destination. 600,000 people visit the Centre and other sports complexes in Palm Harbor that the staff at The Centre oversees, according to Harrison. 

The Centre offers many programs for the community and also rents out rooms for banquets, meetings, fundraisers, private parties and other occasions.
