Palm Harbor Man Accused of Video Voyeurism
An arrest affidavit says store surveillance video recorded John Acton, 46, as he swung his cell phone underneath the victim's dress.
A Palm Harbor man wound up in jail Saturday afternoon after he was accused of using his cell phone to secretly record underneath a woman's dress at a Clearwater store.
Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies arrested John Acton, 46, on a misdemeanor charge of video voyeurism. Sgt. David DiSanoΒ of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says the victim's husband was at the store with his wife and saw Acton use his cell phone to record under his wife's dress. The man confronted Acton about the incident.
An arrest affidavit says store surveillance video recorded Acton as he swung his cell phone underneath the woman's dress. The document also says Acton admitted to erasing the cell phone video of the victim's underpants.

The incident happened at 3:25 p.m. inside a business at 2528 State Road 580, according to the affidavit. The business located at the address is Total Wines, which is in a shopping complex across the street from the Clearwater Mall.
Acton was released from the Pinellas County Jail Saturday night on $150 bail.
