Palm Harbor Weekend Music Scene
Some new acts come to Palm Harbor this weekend, along with some familiar favorites
regulars Flying High get the weekend started at 7pm on Friday. This harmonic duo always strives to be unique in their music, so while they can play many of the classics, their sets often feature some less frequently heard covers. The band also plays on Saturday night at the same venue starting at 7pm.
At the it’s Open Mic Night on Friday beginning at 8pm. All comers are welcome to play, sing or just enjoy the music.
Friday night Mo Debly will be performing at . This one-of-a-kind duo will be playing their own unique takes on various classic tunes. The band consists of Mo on vocals and guitar and Debly who plays the violin. This unusual pairing cover songs from artists such as Bob Marley to Led Zeppelin with some interesting and impressive results. The show runs from 9pm to 1pm.

Finally on Friday. Stormbringer will be playing at in Ozona. This five piece band has been around since 1986 building a following in Florida and beyond. The group plays a mixture of classic rock, from artists such as Pink Floyd and Bon Jovi, as well as original tunes. The show starts at 9pm and runs through to 1am.
The Defendants, the Witch’s Brew house band will be performing on Saturday night from 8pm to 11pm on the patio. This long established Palm Harbor band perform a variety of favorite classic rock tunes such as Mustang Sally and Born to Be Wild as well as covers of artists such as Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones and many more. Saturday sees the Ken Apperson duo appearing at Peggy O’Neill’s. Apperson is an accomplished guitarist with a smooth and funky style that he applies to several genres of music. On top of this he has an impressive vocal range which again allows him to tackle a wide range of styles such as R&B and soul as well as rock and blues. The music starts at 9pm.
If you find yourself all rocked out by Sunday you should check out Stan & Mark’s Acoustic Jam on the patio of the Witch’s Brew from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
Sunday, JC Craver's celebrate its anniversary with Eddie and Alpha Steel performing live. The acts consists of Eddie Sealey who combines his DJ abilities with his vocals and steel drum skills. A typical set might include well known island tunes such as Hot, Hot, Hot and Don’t Worry, Be Happy.
