Palm Harbor Weekend Music Scene
New bands and new line-ups can be heard this weekend at the many live music venues in Palm Harbor.
’s house band Flying High will be performing at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night. The duo plays a blend of classics as well as some less well-known tunes. Both members of the band sing and bring a harmonic interplay of vocals to their sound.
The plays host to Elephant Gerald on Friday night. This three piece band features Jeremy Douglass on keyboard, Steve Turner on Drums and Ice on bass. The band plays a blend of jazz, funk and fusion creating a distinct and unique sound which they apply to classics and popular modern tunes as well. Everything from Miles Davis to Cole Porter gets an Elephant Gerald reworking. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Not sure what kind of music you are in the mood for? Then head down to the on Friday night where it is open mic night. From 8 p.m. onwards you can hear all kinds of talent performing a variety of different musical styles.

Blues & Company will be performing at on Friday night. The band draws on many classic blues players for influence including Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and B.B. King. They also throw in a little rock to their performances from the likes of artist such as Creedence Clearwater Revival. The music starts at 8 p.m. and the band will be unveiling a new line up.
On Friday night, you can see the band Rebel Pride performing at in Ozona from 9 p.m. onwards. This Tampa Bay group describe themselves as a “No Grief taken, party makin American, original, classic, southern rock-n-roll band." You can find more details at www.rebelprideband.com

The Little Big Show are the featured artists at on Friday night. This two piece combo consists of singer songwriter Brian Caudill on guitar and drummer Brad Smith. The duo have been performing together for three years delivering an acoustic rock show that incorporates classic covers from the likes of the Beatles to more modern acts such as Kings of Leon and Dave Matthews. Caudill has recently released an album of original material entitled Pocketful of Change, tracks from which are performed live by The Little Big Show. The music starts at 9 p.m.
The Witch's Brew plays host to solo musician Romey Ignacio. With the help of backing tracks and his acoustic guitar, Ignacio performs a variety of covers from the 70’s classics to modern day favorites. He takes the patio stage at 8 p.m. and can be seen live at: www.livestream.com/thewitchsbrew
At the Palm Harbor House of Beer visitors can see Bam-Boo-Da performing on Saturday night. This St. Petersburg based band has a unique style coming from a blend of reggae and rock with a bit of funk and ska thrown in for good measure. The music starts at 8 p.m.
Over at JC Craver's in Ozona the band Raised by Wolves will be performing on Saturday night. The band plays rock and blues and the show starts at 9 p.m.
The Jason Parker Trio will be performing at Peggy O’Neill’s on Saturday night. This band performs a variety of contemporary tunes as well as classics from the 70’s and 80’s. Rock, pop and alternative favorites get an acoustic reworking when this band performs. The band members were influenced by such acts as Jack Johnson, Sublime and 3 Doors Down. The show starts at 9 p.m. and runs until 1a.m.
