Palm Harbor Weekend Music Scene
There is plenty of live music in Palm Harbor this weekend with some new bands and some familiar faces performing on various stages.
Regular house band Flying High will be performing Friday and Saturday night at . This popular duo play a wide range of tunes with the emphasis on vocal harmonies. The music kicks of at 7 p.m. both nights.
Mick Luke will be playing at on Friday night. Luke is a renowned performer with rock and metal influences expressed on his acoustic guitar. The music starts at 8 p.m.
Looking for some musical variety to kick start your weekend? Then head down to the on Friday night where it is open mic night. From 8 p.m. onwards you can hear all kinds of talent performing a multitude of different musical styles.

At you can catch Elephant Gerald from 8 p.m. This trio band features Jeremy Douglass on keyboard, Steve Turner on Drums and Ice on bass. The band plays a blend of jazz, funk and fusion creating a distinct and unique sound which they apply to classics and popular modern tunes as well. Everything from Miles Davis to Cole Porter gets an Elephant Gerald reworking.
Chad Britt will be performing at on Friday night. This solo performer’s sound is best categorized as country with other influences evident in his songs. The performance starts at 8:30 p.m.

Rock band Pitbull Toddler will be making some noise this Friday night at in Ozona. This band is comprised of members of the Cowhead Show, a regular radio show on 102.5FM. This high energy band are rockers through and through. The rockfest begins at 9 p.m.
The Shakes with be bringing their alternative sound to on Friday night. The show starts at 9 p.m. and runs to 1 a.m.
Doyle’s Revenge will be performing at the Dockside Sports Bar & Grille on Saturday night. This unique band is comprised entirely of doctors and always bring in a crowd when playing at Dockside. Their set lists predominantly include covers of 80’s and 90’s favorites. The music starts at 9 p.m. and continues through to 1 a.m.
Solo performer Jared Simpson will be playing at The Thirsty Marlin on Saturday night from 7 p.m. Simpson plays a variety of music from original tunes to covers of artists such as Tom Petty and Hall & Oates.
Jack Poland & Friends will be playing at the Witch’s Brew on Saturday night. An accomplished acoustic player, Poland performs folk and rock tunes and classics from the 60’s and 70’s. The show starts 8 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. and will be shown at: www.livestream.com/thewitchsbrew
Those who are craving something blue can find it at on Saturday night in the form of The Backwater Blues Band. This three piece band has become a regular fixture at the Ozona establishment thanks to their blend of original music and up-tempo covers. Formed in 1997, Backwater Blues Band draws on a wide range of influences, in particular Texas, Chicago and New Orleans Blues. The music starts at 8 p.m.
Also on Saturday night Tyson Marshall will be playing at Irish Pub. Marshall is the front man for the Tampa based band Offshore Riot but also performs as a solo artist with his trusty acoustic guitar. He plays a mixture of original tunes and cover versions, adapted for his own unique style which blends rock, reggae, blues and r & b. The show starts at 9 p.m. and runs through to 1 a.m.
