Bike Night Kicks off Weekend Music Scene
There is a lot to choose from this weekend in Palm Harbor.

Florida Ave. will be closed beginning at 4 p.m. Friday for the 9th Annual Bike Night and Bike Show from 7 to 11 pm. The event is sponsored by Old Palm Harbor Main St. and will feature a bike show, live music and more.
Flying High will play Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. at . This duo combines guitar and keyboards with two harmonic vocals for a unique sound that they apply to a wide range of songs, both well known and occasionally obscure.
Looking for some musical variety to kick start your weekend? Then head down to the on Friday night where it is open mic night. From 8 p.m. onwards you can hear all kinds of talent performing a multitude of different musical styles.

The Tampa Bay Ukulele Getaway takes place this weekend at the Lake Tarpon Resort with a variety of workshops and performances from some of the best Ukulele players around. Artists include Gerald Ross, Keoni Lagunero and Big Jim Allen. Many of the performances will take place at starting on Friday night and running right through to Sunday afternoon. The Chris Murphy Duo will be on stage at on Friday night. This two piece act has a little something for everyone, covering a wide variety of popular tunes in their own distinct style. The music starts at 9 p.m. and goes on until 1 a.m.

The Witch's Brew plays host to Jay Maddox on Saturday night. Usually found backed by a band, Maddox is performing solo on Saturday night on the intimate patio stage at the Witch’s Brew. Playing a blend of country and southern rock, Maddox reworks covers from such well known artists as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company. The stage at is the place to see Jimmy Griswold on Saturday night. Griswold is an experienced blues player who has performed all over the world and opened for some big names including Robert Cray. Fans of old school blues will enjoy this show which kicks off at 8pm.
On Saturday night the popular duo Mo Debly return to Peggy O’Neill’s. This one-of-a-kind duo will be playing their own unique takes on various classic tunes. The band consists of Mo on vocals and guitar and Debly who plays the violin. This unusual pairing cover everything from Bob Marley to Led Zeppelin with interesting and impressive results. The show runs from 9pm to 1pm.
