Jolly Fun at the 2011 Holiday Parade
People lined up along Nebraska Ave, Omaha St. and Florida Ave. for the 29th annual Palm Harbor Community Holiday Parade.
Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special appearance at theΒ 29th Annual Palm Harbor Community Holiday ParadeΒ Saturday. People lined up along the parade route to catch a glimpse of Santa and Mrs. Claus and catch candy thrown by parade participants.
The Palm Harbor Patch float was also in the parade. We decorated a pick-up truck to look like a comfy fireplace scene during the holidays. I was joined by my fellow Patch Editors; Katie Dolac, Editor of Dunedin Patch,Β Jared Leone, Editor of Clearwater Patch, Emily Seawell Patch Associate Regional Editor, and Jeff Rosenfield, Patch Assistant Editor. We passed out candy, Patch magnets and Patch balloons. It was fun meeting all of you. We even met a dog named "Patch"... what a great name!
TheΒ Greater Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce,Β Palm Harbor Historical Society,Β Old Palm Harbor Main Street, Inc. andΒ Palm Harbor Parks and RecreationΒ presented the parade, which was sponsored by theΒ Palm Harbor Rotary Club.
