Pets of the Week: Meet Dixie & Penny!

Palm Harbor Patch is proud to help the Suncoast Animal League find forever homes for these great pets.

This week, we have two fabulous pets who are looking for homes.

1) Dog of the week: Dixie

Dixie is a 9 year-old maltese who is as sweet as they come.  She was brought to the because a child in her home suddenly become allergic to her.  Rather than keeping Dixie outdoors, the family decided to give her up.

Dixie is on the plump side for a maltese, weighing in at 16 lbs.  She also has a slight heart murmur, but the veterinary office said it’s nothing serious. After getting to know her for a short while, it's possible that her heart is just too big :)

2) Cat of the Week: Penny

This pretty white 1 ½ year-old cat is Penny. She came to the Suncoast Animal League after being thrown out the window of a moving car. Despite the traumatic experience, she's a very sweet kitty who enjoys being petted and talked to. She seems to get along with other quiet, laid-back cats, like herself and also LOVES playing with nice dogs.

If you think Dixie or Penny could be the perfect pet for you, please call the Suncoast Animal League office at (727) 786-1330.
