Photo Slideshow: Relay for Life 2012 Kick-Off
In case you missed it, here are some great photos from the Relay for Life Kick-Off Oct. 18 at Palm Harbor Fire Rescue.
Tuesday Oct. 18, the American Cancer Society held a Kick-Off Celebration for the Palm Harbor 2012 Relay for Life at Palm Harbor Fire Rescue. Thanks toΒ Gary Brelsford for sending us these photos.
No worries if you missed the event, you can still participate in the 2012 Relay for Life! Organizers are still looking for more teams, volunteers, survivors & caregivers to join them.
During Relay for Life events, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length to remind people that cancer never sleeps. Relayers do not have to walk all night, but each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
